While working with you, I looked forward to your daily stops by my office door. You always had a joke or prank to tell me about that would send me into roaring laughter. You are a fixture in this community who is blessed with the ability to never forget a face or name once you have come to know it. You truly are a ray of sunshine to all those around you.You and your family are in our thougths and prayers.
God Bless,
Kimberly & Steven Vining
My number one hero! We are all behind you pushing you up the hill as you have done for so many now for years. So you do your thing as only you know how and fight like hell, while we push from our side. Here is some love coming your way from one of your admirers. Be well and take care, Mark

...May God Bless you and your Family truly in this time. May he hold you tightly in the palm of his hand in such a way that you will also look back on this time, as I did on mine, and wonder how you made it so long without realizing the depth of His concern, knowledge of and love for you, and your family. Amen
Sincerely, Mike Foshee (read Mike's entire letter here)
This morning I was made aware of your recent diagnosis. I wanted you to know that all of us at United Blood Services are praying for you wishing you a speedy recovery from this illness. We know you will fight and attack this with the fiery attitude you have always shown through the years of working with us and promoting the need for blood donations within our communities as well as the many other community projects you have dedicated your time over the years.
Terry Ridenour
Executive Director - United Blood Services
Our prayers are definitely with you. It is hard to believe that the situation would come to you, especially with your involvement in Relay. Still, you can beat it, like many have. And when you do, can you imagine the impact you will have on Relay?
Thank you for all you have done and are doing for the good of everyone. You make a difference.
Bill Weston
Hang in there friend, we are here to give you plenty of company and companionship on this journey.

You gorgeous human being you,
you are perhaps Hot Springs' most treasured voice, promoting love and togetherness in this swell town year after year with undaunted enthusiasm.
Know that you are deeply loved and prayed for and wished well and hoped for continuously.
Much love from the DiGiacomo/Hageness household.
Beth DiGiacomo-Hageness
We\'ve known each other since you first moved here. I believe we met at Wednesday Night Poetry. You broadcasted the Poetry readings and everyone was so excited! It was at the downtown Rod\'s Pizza, we have always had fun bantering issues about. You have always given so much joy to so many even when you did know what you were talking about! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, you were placed on the prayer list at Pullman Heights Methodist Church. You have so many people that care about you and are sending positive thoughts your way. Keep thinking positive, we all are...

I was reading this morning\'s Sentinel Record on-line and I saw the article about your illness. As I completed reading the article my thoughts turned to you and all that you have done to serve people. You are truly a servant in the real sense of the word. I have never seen a cause....a need.....a community program where you didn\'t offer to step forward and do your part without any concern about personal credit.
Many of the efforts that you have been involved with over the years have represented challenges involving the initiation of new progams; motivating people to get off of their rears to get involved; raising funds for worthwhil causes or other efforts that make a difference. Now you are facing another challenge though one of a much more personal nature. I have no doubt that you will face this challenge head on just like all of the other challenges that you have faced. There should be no doubt that you have the courage and tenacity to tackle this thing. So, though you are in my thoughts and prayers, I am confident in your strength, your will and the power of god to get his servant thru this latest challenge.

I too have a picture of Dick with my kids sitting on Santa\'s lap. They sat on his lap when Santa was out at Whittington Ave. I had forgotten about the picture for many years until my son was graduating from high school. At that time I had done work with dick for year or so and when I pulled out and realized he was Santa Claus! Get Better Dick you're the best at promoting Hot Springs and morning radio isn't the same when you're sick!

Just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you and wish you the best of luck. In the category of good ole boys, you\'re one of the best. You're always out to help someone else. This time you need to take care of yourself. Keep your spirit up and YOU CAN BEAT THIS!!! We still need you around for a long time.
See ya soon,
Fred Hintze

Our prayers go out to you, your wife and your daughters in this challenging time. Thanks for the years you kept Mt. Harbor a safe and friendly place, for keeping the morning gang at KZNG in line, for keeping our local politicians accountable, and for always having something good to say about our town.
