Hey Fellow,
Sounds like this situation is becomming a pretty tough row to hoe. However, you are a tough old bird yourself and you will make it , in spite of the adversity. Hang in there, my friend and get better soon.
Kindest Regards
Andy
When you get done we need to go on a bike ride.

I am so sad to hear that you are not feeling well. You are such a blessing to everyone that knows you. You are truly an inspiration to many people even if you do not realize it. My prayers are with you and your family for a quick recovery. I am so glad to have gotten the opportunity to get to know you at all the Relay for Life events.
Best Regards,
Heather Anderson
I have the adoration hour after Becky, my wife has an hour on Thursday. Please know that our hours at the chapel will be dedicated to your recovery. You are such an inspiration to us. You will always be the Santa Claus that brought Baby Jesus a Christmas gift to my grandkids and for that, we are so thankful.
Pam and Gerald Harvey
Just think, in 30 days you will be finished with your treatments FOREVER! You can and will do it, just keep taking those pain pills and keep putting lotion or something on your neck and of course no sun at all.
When I would get sick and think I was going to throw up I would unplug the end of my feeding tube and drain the contents into the sink. Most of the time it was mustard yellow bile that burns like the dickens coming through your throat but no pain at all draining into the sink.
Hang in there! David
Hello Mr. Antione- Just a friendly hello to you and you're wife. Iam one of you're nurses at the Cancer Center. Praying for a full recovery for you. Keep up the wonderful smiles and great personality you have. God Bless You.

Dear Dick, Just a little note to tell you that Ellen and I are concerned about your situation and are praying that you will be victorious in the battle. Your attitude is a positive influence to others that face the same challenge. I look forward to renewing some verbal confrontations with you. Get those vocal chords back in shape so I can set you straight on some of your Democratic Philosophies. The very best to you and your wonderful wife and family,

Every now and again an exceptional person comes along. A little different from your average bear. Dick, you most certainly are that exceptional person. You're a giant in this community for a multitude of reasons. I have missed your perspective on the morning show lately, and I look forward to your return. I wish you well with a speedy recovery.

My family's prayers are with you and Becky at this time. You have done so much for our community, I'm so happy to see the blessings are returning to you in this web site.
"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give." Sir Winston Churchill (1874 - 1965)
It's obvious by reading some of these posts, that you truly have a rich life full of love, friends and hope.
God Bless,
Lisa Gloria

After having 3 heart attacks and surviving, I KNOW that with God, ALL things are possible. I am praying for your healing, brother. Your friends and fans are also praying and "conspiring" for a miraculous healing.
Lee Tibler
You both know you are in our constant prayers and will be in touch soon - You have so many wonderful friends and we are so blessed to be counted among them.
Know you are loved and God is near
Love you both,
Patti & Dave
We pray for you every morning and we know our precious Lord has his hand on you and will bring you through this even stronger than before (is that possible?). We both treasure our friendship with you and Becky for these many years and while we are sad for what you are going through, we also know that with your drive and determination, this will be only a bump in the road. Bill says that you can make fun of his good southern vegetable dinners if you want, but when we see you in April, we think that might be "just what the doctor orders!" We all need to get together and have some black-eyed peas, turnip greens, squash, and fried green tomatoes! Those cancer cells, if there are any left, won't stand a chance! Seriously, as a cancer survivor, I can tell you that you are already ahead of the game, because with your ever-present positive attitude, you will find that "Step One" is already cinched. I remember so well in my own battle, that was the first order of business - to keep my head up and keep focusing on the business at hand with optimism at the forefront. We know you already have that part well under control! Just know that we are ever mindful of your situation and keeping you and Becky and your family high on the prayer list. We'll be there in two weeks and hope to spend some time with you and Becky then! Do what the doctor says now and tell all of your family hello!
Bill & Lisa Goodwin
you are on my prayer list.....
the mind is a powerful tool....faith & positive thoughts are the key to bringing things to you. Think thoughts of good health and have the faith that God will deliver to you.....you gotta believe.
Your faith in God will bring you thru this.
Ask and you shall recieve....he will listen to you Dick!!
We are here if you need anything.

I'm so glad to hear that you're hanging in there through the first week of treatment.I've been thinking of you often and know the power of love and positive thinking. You have so many friends and so many lives you have touched. It is nice to see and hear that others have the opportunity to give back to you just a small portion of what you have given to others through the years!
With love,
Kelli Antoine
O.K. guy. Get well, get out of that bed and get back to the community that loves and needs you. And don't worry about your spagetti tasting like cardboard because studies have shown that 97% of American males have a cardboard deficiency in their diet. During your upcoming "I'm well" party you can make a great pot of your famous cardboard spagetti.

When you are worried and need encouragement just close your eyes and remember the thousands of people that you have held and encouraged and prayed for over the years. AND the tens of thousands who have benefitted from your work and fundraising. They are all with you. Peggy will never forget the hours you spent at her bedside when she was in the hospital. I will never forget the concern for me when I had heart surgery. we're all there for you.
Lanny Crupper
Just wanted to let you know we checked out your site & we love it! You look great with a red beard!! We hope your treatments are easy on you. Let us know if you need anything. You are in our prayers.
The staff at Dr. Vallery's office.
Dick and Becky,
Our prayers are with you daily. Each of you have meant so much to our family over the many years. Remember those nights at "Poetry Night". The path you have helped us walk has been challenging at times but with your encouragement we have succeeded each time. We want you to know we are now hoping to return the favors and love. God be with you.
Vicki and John Rima and family
We have sent you messages before but we want you and Becky to keep this in mind always..
What Cancer Cannot Do:
It cannot cripple Love
It cannot cripple Hope
It cannot carrode faith
It cannot destroy Peace
It cannot kill Friendship
It cannot supress Memories
It cannot silence Courage
It cannot invade the Soul
It cannot steal eternal Life
It cannot conquer the Spirit.

When my brother called to tell me the news, I couldn't utter a word only a sob. In our next conversation, I asked him if he was scared and he said "I'm fine with my maker and if it's my time I'm okay with that." I found comfort in his words but knowing him what he said was to comfort me because that is the brother he is. I know he will fight his fight with faith and gusto and become a cancer survivor. He will continue to be an inspiration and touch the lives of those who know him.
Love Sis (Diane Mason)
Hey, Big Guy....
SO SORRY to hear the news, but you have a huge spirit as well as a huge community of friends and family who are pulling for you.
Too bad we don't get to see each other, but we are pulling and praying for you and your family.
I send you A BIG hug...give my love to Becky and your girls, Beth and Stephanie.
Guess Dale told you John won his 400th game as coach. Susan is still in Las Vegas and I hear Albert lives there, too. Chris and I will be in Naples, FL until early May, then return to Avalon, NJ until mid-Oct.
I will keep checkin' up on you.
xoxo Leslie (The OLDEST COUSIN!)
Sometimes one has the opportunity to know someone special, someone who represents all that is good in this world.... someone who constantly and consistantly puts others before himself... who never looks the other way when there is a need or an injustice.... someone who always wears a smile and has a good word to say to everyone he meets, both strangers and friends.... someone who gives more than he gets, whether it is as a fundraiser for United Way or as the costumed character Neatness Man fighting litter.... someone who is a rock in the raging torrent of life.
Dick, you have been that person to so many people in your life that there is no doubt in my mind that some of that will wash back on you now, in your time of need. You and Becky are both strong and determined people, and you have an entire community of people behind you to give a little push when you feel that strength slipping, and I will be the first one in line to give you that push, along with a hug. Hang in there, both of you, and may Gods love sustain you.
Love,
Hannah and David Mills
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Your friend, Alice Kosmach
Oh man Dick,
What's going on now?
Heard you're sick,
And tired of being down
Your fight has become
the talk of the town.
We all love you bubba
So don't you frown
Eat right, exercise
and when you wear a hospital gown
Please be careful
when you turn around.
Oh man Dick,
What's going on now?
We are keeping you, Becky, and your family way high on our prayer list!

Had I not been away from computers the last few days because of a brief hospital stay I would have penned this note earlier.
Wanda and I both consider you a good friend and we have been and will be praying for you. We know God answers prayers and we are earnestly praying for you. We appreciate all you have done and are doing and will do in the future for some many in our community. God blessed you with a Servant's heart and a compassionate soul and you have been faithful to use those attributes.
Thank you for being a friend to us and so many others.
We love you,
Dick and Wanda Holden

I moved to Hot Springs about 3 years ago and started working at the Chamber of Commerce where everyone talked about Santa! :) It wasn't long before Santa came into the Chamber and was asking me if he could take ALL of the phone calls. Dick, you bring life and light to every room that you enter. It is an absolute joy to know you and to have you in our lives!
You are in my thoughts and in my prayers daily. And thanks to you, I'm proud to be "Primetime"!
Love ya!
Stephanie Gray
As a near five year cancer survivor, I am writing to tell you that you can do this, and everybody in this town loves you and is pulling for you, so you can't go wrong. Thank you for all the spirit and love you have shown to all of us, and for all the giving to our town.
Linda Justice
You are in my thoughts and prayers. You are a very special man with a heart bigger than Texas who has blessed the citizens of Hot Springs in so many ways.
I am a 7 1/2 year breast cancer survivor who was given a 30% survival rate and I love attending the Relay of Life event and listening to you emcee. Your compassion and love shines through each year.
God bless you.

From one Irishman to another (ok, your more like the worlds most loving honoree), remember....
God doesn't give us anything he know's we can't handle. Place your worries in the river and let them wash away.
An Old Irish Blessing:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
My Love to Becky and your family too.
Karen Norman
I know it is not easy to be where you are right now, full of questions and doubts. There is a lot of talk about angels these days, and about all the things people say they can do.I like to think that they were sent to take special care of you right now, and I hope you can feel thier presence near you. Just as I hope you feel the nearness of all the loving thoughts of those of us who care so MUCH about you.Since I don't have a magic wand, but lots of prayers and warm thoughts, there's definitely some wonder-working stuff headed your way. KEEP THE FAITH. May God Bless and Heal you is my PRAYER Elaine Jones

"To whom much is given, much is expected." I'm sure God expects that you'll handle this challenge with your customary directness, optimism, humor, and faith. But whenever you need a lift, a laugh or a load lifted during your journey, count me in - I'm there, big guy. You always make me feel like I'm your "one and only" when you toss off your signature "Love ya," but I'm willing to share you with Becky, all the other ladies, all the kids, all your radio listeners, all your friends, and... well, all the rest of Hot Springs. We all LOVE YA, especially me. You're the real deal. May God's arm keep you steady as you stay the course.
